Welcome to MVARC, Where Signals Soar and Friendships Flourish.
Grab a mic. Make some noise. The Menifee Valley Amateur Radio Club (MVARC) is where signals fly, friendships spark, and a crew of radio enthusiasts swap stories, skills, and frequencies you didn’t know existed. We chase DX, talk shop about antennas and gear, run field days, help newcomers earn their tickets, and generally have a blast doing it. Whether you’re brand new and curious, studying for your Technician license, or a seasoned Extra with a wall full of QSL cards, there’s a seat at the table — and a wave in the air — waiting for you.
Come for the radio. Stay for the coffee, the war stories, and the friendships that crackle to life over the airwaves long after the meeting wraps.
When: 2nd Thursday of every month. Show up at 6:00 PM for the Greet-and-Grin, meeting kicks off at 6:30. Stick around after — that’s when the good stuff happens.
Meeting Place: Sun City Civic Association, 26850 Sun City Boulevard, Trophy Room #2
Getting in: Park at the corner of Cherry Hills Blvd and Sun City Boulevard (look for the red teardrop on the map). Follow the sidewalk to Trophy Room #1 (the red heart). Second door on the left. Porch light’s on — come on in. 73!
TeTesting Sessions: Ready to get on the air? MVARC’s testing sessions are your launchpad — friendly examiners, zero intimidation, and a clear path from “curious” to “licensed.” Whether you’re going for Technician, General, or Extra, we’ll get you there. Read more.
Weekly Nets:
Flip the switch, key the mic, and join us on the air. Our weekly nets are where the MVARC community trades stories, swaps tips, talks gear, and turns strangers into friends — one transmission at a time. New voices always welcome. Read more.
Field Day:
Tents up, antennas raised, radios humming. Field Day is MVARC’s marquee weekend — 24 hours of on-air action, contact-chasing, good food, great company, and the kind of stories you’ll be telling at meetings for years. Operators of every level jump in. Come find your frequency. Read more.
